About Me

I believe that counselling can play a hugely important role in improving a person’s wellbeing.

For me, to witness another person’s story, to explore their world alongside them and to work together to make changes is a genuine privilege. To see those changes begin to materialise is inspiring.

I know what it’s like to feel the weight of expectations, to have the sense that you’re on one path and realising it’s not the ‘right one.’ To feel like you’ve lost a part of yourself.   Counselling can help you to get back on track.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and hold an MA in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy (University of Roehampton). Integrative therapy seeks to put the client first and foremost, whilst being able to draw on a number of different approaches, including humanistic, existential and relational.  I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and adhere to the organisation’s Ethical and Professional Standards.

Before becoming a counsellor my background was teaching, as well as working in the Higher Education sector.

I have worked with a broad range of issues, most recently with staff and students at the Centre for Wellbeing, University of Surrey. Prior to that I worked within the counselling services at Godalming College and Guildford College of Further & Higher Education.  I have also volunteered for the Rape & Sexual Support Centre in Guildford.
